Being the cowards that I know they are, I don’t think Reince Preibus, McConnell, Ryan, or any other GOP/TPer wants to make the move to take the nomination from Trump in Cleveland because they lack the courage to stand up to their base. I think it’s their cowardice in standing up to their base that has landed them in their current predicament of having Trump at top of the ticket and GOP/TPers in Congress and around the nation going out of their way to avoid commenting about the things he says.
