I can’t say I’ve given GoT a chance, but I find Fantasy (novels, and their TV versions ) hard to enjoy, Bar Pratchett. I liked some his book “series” (they aren’t really series but a common thread) but I’ve enjoyed all of the television works, animated and live-action.

It is easier to swallow high violence fantasy; Rogue Halflings cutting the throats of assassination targets as the sleep or Berserk Barbarians dual-wielding Great-axes Slaying the creatures of the Keep (At least that’s my memories of NeverWinter Nights.) It probably helps I spent my early years playing Diablo II.

I tend to find Fantasy hard to get into, Bar Tolkien and most Pratchett. they somehow keep my attention.
