Both sides have put forth their own versions of the FAA enabling language, but neither side is willing to concede to a clean version that strips out any of the language referring to the unions or the air access provisos, and neither side has allowed a clean bill to come up.

Instead, the FAA loses $25 million a day in lost tax revenues it would otherwise be collecting to fund its operations.

It’s ridiculous.

The two parties would rather piss on each other in order to play to their respective constituencies.
