The snow-experienced northerner in me is shaking his head in disbelief over how little snow has snarled Georgia and Alabama, but I’m most certainly NOT acting that way over what coastal NC and the Tidewater VA got. Those were legitimate snowstorms in any part of this country.

Snow is a massive problem if you’re not used to it. Folks from Chicago or Detroit are grow up having to deal with snowy conditions and their minds adapt to deal with that reality. When you grow up in Atlanta, where snow happens less than once every five years, you’re not used to it and you don’t know how to handle it.
