The pellet stove at Casa de teleskiguy has been lit at night for about two weeks. Coldest night since April was on Monday, mid 20s.

It’s different though! 6600 ft. elevation bottom of a valley surrounded by 10,000+ ft. mountain ranges. Inversions the last two weeks have been pronounced, hence the burning of 160 lbs. of pellets this month.

I’ve been toughing it out here in the backwoods, but today was pretty chilly so I’ve been wearing lots of layers and more than ready now to head off to bury myself under the duvet with the portable furry heaters packed in around me.

Woodstove gets fired up tomorrow!
