We have a ton of those Sunday-only laws all across the US, blatantly linked to Christianity. It’s something Jews have always been rather ironic about, since it means some Jews really have to plan ahead— can’t buy anything on shabbos, can’t buy it on Sunday, either.

We have Blue Laws in Michigan. I can’t buy wine at the kosher grocery on Sunday morning, not even if it is the day before a Yom Tov.
