If they manage to take down Joy Reid, it’ll underscore the fact that there’s simply no right-wing hack too unbelievable for them. They’ll always be given instant credibility and credulity simply by dint of being a ‘not a Democrat’. There’s simply no hope of breakthrough because you will always be treated as untrustworthy unless you hate Dems as a default.
