OK.

Do you see a lever that rotates around and round? That stops rotating when the ice bin is full. If the blob impeded that lever then that is your problem - melt the blob.

Also - there may be a switch to turn the icemaker off - do that. No need to unplug the whole fridge.

Do NOT use a sharp ice pick to dislodge any ice!
