One thing I do not remember is the name of authors, and, weirdly, often the name of characters in books. It’s a strange hole. I can tell you most of the plot of, say, Pride and Prejudice, which I last read a few years ago (due for a rereading), but aside from Jane and Mr. Darcy, I totally forget everyone else’s name.
