Well of course, remember it was his father who was born on third and thought he hit the triple and the older Bush is a lot more humble than the sons.

The older Bush also got shot down in WW2 and spent some time floating in the Pacific in a rubber raft waiting to be picked up. And flew 58 combat missions.

Slightly different experience set than his sons had.
