Except their wasn’t ambivalence. In Lieu’s line of questioning, Mueller specifically agreed that Trump undertook obstructive acts; that it occurred after it was known that there was an official proceeding in place; and his report clearly said he did so with requisite intent—those are the elements of obstruction. (He also repeatedly stated that it didn’t matter whether the subordinates actually followed through for there to be obstruction). There was no maybe anything—and that’s without his specific response to whether he would have indicted but for OLC policy.
And refused to agree with that characterization in earlier questioning. I really dont fucking know what he believes at this point as far as whether POTUS committed and a criminal act.
