Can’t happen in the US. Our country is simply too big for that to happen. It is physically impossible for the entire US military and all law enforcement branches to be able to control more than 10 major cities in a martial law scenario. Not to mention the entire countryside that is mostly red and heavily armed. Add in the fact that the people tasked to do it, may actually not do it for all sorts of reasons.

no jobs

only new jobs are in the gov’t
from military to law enforcement
to the new civilian security forces

millions working for the gov’t
and afraid to lose their precious jobs by bucking the gov’t

yes, unlikely, but an interesting scenario
would 0bama be able to hire enough loyals to do this
to override the millions of gun nuts in red state zones ?

would he even try ?
