Actually an additional approach is to have two or three man crews with chain guns and long range .50 calibers ride shotgun through the region. Much cheaper insurance than paying ransoms, or facing worse. One warning flare ignored means nobody goes home. But again, many more people will need to be murdered before that happens, but I suspect it will.

Well, aside from having a lousy temper when you debate, you sure don’t offer any solutions, and on top of that it sounds like you think all Somalis are pirates.
