I didn’t like how Sanders made his point, since it was dismissive. How hard can it be to state forthrightly that racism remains a pressing problem to address and that plutocracy in the US is also a pressing problem to address?

Sanders has a huge blind spot when it comes to race, he keeps thinking it comes back to economic problems. Economic problems, for black people, mostly stem from racism. He gets it backwards.

He comes from a place with almost no black people. I think he can learn, but he really needs to goddamn listen.

Some of his supporters are terrible about this, and start attacking black people in very GOP-like terms, for not ‘realizing’ what their ‘real best interests’ are.
