I could never live in a Mediterranean climate. Even my sister - who worked and lived in Silicon Valley for over 10 years and was employed by two ginormous tech firms that I won’t name - ended up buying a house in Boulder after she had her first kid.

It turns out a lot of “freshwater” inland people prefer four seasons.

Especially me. ‘Cause I found the fountain of youth. It’s called skiing. And snow’s required for that.

It’s very wearing. I grew up out east where we had those things called “seasons” and …no, this doesn’t work for me. But it’s where we are right now, and at some point we will move.
