re: #20 Targetpractice

This new policy makes me think of the “ignore” feature on messageboards and chatrooms. It’s the equivalent of giving someone the silent treatment and hoping they’ll take the hint and go away, rather than just continuing to sit there and harass everybody else.

As I’ve said before, I’m not on Twitter, but I certainly understand the change that has occured.

I wouldn’t be surprised if twitter doesn’t implement a “2 level block”, where the first level would be an “ignore” option (which it seems to be what they have moved to), and a second option to totally block that individual (which would be a rollback to the older implementation)

That way they can say “We listened to our valuable users and am making even MORE options available to protect your privacy and security”

That’s how I’d handle it, but then again I’m no PR expert.
