That meme is wrong in a number of ways. He wasn’t the first slave owner and blacks were indentured long before.

For it to have any meaning whatsoever would require a society dominated by blacks that routinely oppressed whites whether free or enslaved. Of course the reverse is true so the unusual case of a black owning black slaves does not give the white supremacists any valid complaint.

There was a statistically insignificant minority of black “slaveowners” who owned (1) themselves (2) loved ones they ransomed.
