That’s why I’m taking a river cruise. At no point of this excursion could I not swim to shore.

I was seasick on a Whale Watching cruise, just off the Marin coast. I felt so bad, I actually thought if the boat sank, it would be okay with me. I could try swimming to shore - except it was all rocky cliffs - but if I didn’t make it, at least I wouldn’t be feeling like that anymore.

This is apparently not an uncommon thought among those afflicted.
