I think my boss would be less than thrilled if I ditched his 20 million dollar aircraft just to see if I could do it.

In all seriousness, what Sully did was pretty amazing. As pilots we do practice the maneuver in flight and in the sim but very few actually ditch and even fewer ditch in a controlled manner especially with a 162,000 aircraft loaded with fuel and people.
