It’s really awful what they’re going through, and I sympathize with their plight. It’s just that they need to realize that they have to change and adapt. They can’t expect their offspring to do the same job they’ve once held comfortably for decades. What’s telling is that immigrants are better at extolling the values of education and progression to their children than the native-born people here.

That’s exactly what they expect. And that’s the problem; inability to face reality. It’s better to have a dream than face reality.

Here’s my best example. I have several unchecked lottery tickets. As long as I don’t check them I might be a millionaire. Once I check them and realize that I didn’t win, there’s that damn reality setting in. So I check them every few months.

Right now, I could be a millionaire!
