Want to say Eisenhower or Nixon. Know it wasn’t either St. Reagan or the Bushes. Either way it was one of the more moderate Republicans who actually thought fiscal responsibility meant something other than tax and domestic spending cuts above all else.

definitely true, but my point is really that anybody who calls obama a failure because the economy hasn’t truly recovered yet would by that standard have to call bush I and II really shockingly miserable failures, if they were to be consistent and honest
