Saw a Cooper’s Hawk panic a bunch of pigeons this morning in Battery Park. This comes on top of an amazing sighting a few weeks ago of a juvenile Red Tailed Hawk calmly eating a pigeon near two parked cars on a street in my Brooklyn neighborhood. New York becomes more and more of a bird-watcher’s delight every day.
