It really just boils down to this:

Unless you are rich, there is literally NOTHING you can do not to be hated and looked down on. And if you do try like hell to move forward somehow, then by god it should be as totally difficult and full of obstacles as possible. With crushing debt and any other thing they can think of, just for sport. Follow their rules, work hard and still aren’t able to make it? Well then fuck you for not catching a break or being born wealthy.

Which is really kind of, well, anti The American Dream, isn’t it?
