True. But you should also be able to hold Spielberg to a higher standard since you know he’s capable of bringing a lot more to the table.

Part of what made the Star Wars Ep 1-3 bad was seeing Lucas squander Natalie Portman’s talents as an actress. Though to a certain degree right now I view Lucas as a hack with a good visual talent who in a way got lucky.
