Hello my friend! I have to say that I’ve NEVER understood the value of a “proportionate response” when dealing with terrorists or any other armed force which is determined to kill you.

“They want to kill us” makes the obvious proportional response to cipher out to “Kill ‘em, period”. Why is it so hard to see that?
