1. Don’t forget the insider trading they do. For example, see here, here, and here; these are picked from the first few items in a Google search.
2. If they were held to the same standards as business executives or hedge fund managers, many people in Congress would be in jail.
3. As long as the country is reflexively polarized, a critical mass of opposition to corrupt insider trading will not form. (The same applies to the government’s attempts to control the Internet on behalf of
creative artistsmedia conglomerates.) I ask again as I’ve asked before: who benefits from the kneejerk polarization?
