Yeah, I’m going back to Kiev in November for the sixth time, to work with the journos at the University of Mohyla. The slow, relentless cancer blooms out in the rural areas have claimed something like 200,000 lives. Problem is, the gov’t denies any connection to radiation & Chernobyl, since all the people died of “other causes.” Kind of like the climate change denialists here, they point fingers at anything *other* than the longterm effects of ingesting CE131 or Strontium-90, so as to absolve themselves & the pro “Let’s all go back to the way things were under the Soviets” party of any responsibility.
