The Hannity crowd wants to couch the “overreach” bit in the fees, saying that there was no need for so many federal agents, let alone armed ones, if the government’s beef is with Bundy owing money. Except it’s not, it’s the 1,500 head of cattle that are trespassing on federal land that the BLM is empowered by the courts to seize and impound. What was happening last week was not “overreach,” it was “repossession.”

The “overreach” was Bundy issuing threats about arming himself prior to the BLM showing up.
