And an era is about to come to an end

This is the second to last night at work before I go back days starting next week. It will take me at least 2 full weeks for my body clock to transition properly (it’s been harder and harder as the years have gone by)

The good news, for the 1st time in 12 years I will have full weekends off (scheduled, that is,,, we’re always ‘on call’”) until college football starts back up

They changed my “schedule” today, starting next week. For what it’s worth, since parts of my schedule changes every week anyway. But for the last six months, I’ve been working Sat/Sun nights overnight, 8 hours, the rest of the week schedule varies every week.

Starting next week, my overnights shift to Fri/Sat. night midnight to 8:30 am. The store never even gave me a heads up, asked me if these hours worked out, nothing. That’s how Kroger does it. No communication, schedule comes out, you follow it, period. No questions.
