After today’s show, I think Jefferson Davis-Lite will announce after Labor Day, if not sooner. If that happens, people should be aware that he doesn’t have the wrong-body-parts problem of Bachmann/Palin or Romney’s wrong-religion problem.

Like I said above, folks are going to vote for the myth, not the person. And the myth portrays Perry as some sort of Texas miracle man, a modern-day Midas whose touch turns everything around to gold. His supporters will play up the “facts” that show Texas as being some well-spring of all that America needs, glossing over the reality that the state is sinking into a quagmire of ignorance and corporate corruption.
