Baby Boomers directly or indirectly have been responsible for stalling cultural development, at least in pop culture. Consider how many recent movies are based on comic books, cartoons, TV shows and stories from the boomer generation.

That the Boomers are proportionately the largest uniquely identified demographic in the last hundred years or so might have something to with their influence on pop culture. Pop culture is generally transitory and generally pretty crappy. It might have been different without the influence of the Boomer generation but, I doubt that it would have been much better.
