The people claiming being choked to death requires damage to the carotid artery or the trachea are being disingenuous. Too many people die of auto erotic asphyxiation simply by stopping the flow of blood to the brain for a few minutes. There is no need to physically damage the artery or the jugular vein to reduce or stop the flow of blood.

If it can knock the person out it can kill.
