London Bridge: ‘Man With Axe’ Hunted by Armed Police

A “major incident” is currently taking place at London Bridge, with reports suggesting a man wielding an axe in the train station.

IBTimes UK reporter Ewan Palmer said armed police and ambulance teams were at the scene, and that no one was being let in or out of the station.

He said an officer described it as a “major incident” but could not specify what had happened.

Many Twitter users are reporting that a man with an axe are is in the station, but this has not been confirmed, but British Transport Police have confirmed an “ongoing incident”.

The station has now reopened following the police evacuation.
