In the book, the Confederate officers are all decent, noble men trying to uphold an honorable old system. Meanwhile the Union officers are a bunch of vain assholes.

Sorry, but what sane non-neo-confederate fantasizes about having a do-over of Gettysburg? Combine this with his recent race and religion-baiting and you’ve got a nasty overall portrait of the man.

Most importantly, he’d easily be the most divisive president of our time. His rhetoric exists at one level only—incendiary fever pitch.
