Sure, but note that the failure of the Bush presidency to solve this issue with negotiations did not lead to his ordering a military strike. He obviously believed it was not necessary, or not time. Why would the Obama presidency rush to war when even Bush was holding back without first following his platform of enhanced diplomacy? It would be bizarre and he would be condemned for this as a broken promise.

I am recommending that instead of revisiting failed negotiations, we should continue to support further tightening of UN sanctions, an internationally supported process that only began once european-led and US and UN supported negotiations with Iran failed.
