Math is hard. The incremental cost increase of bringing wages up to $10 an hour minimum would raise the price of a burger at McDs by about a quarter. That’s $.25.

And that’s the most infuriating part of the whole exercise. People don’t realize how much money the company makes, and how they’ve driven personnel costs down by refusing to pay absolutely more than they have to, and as a result pushing those people on to public support for health care, food stamps, and public housing in many instance. Those are costs we all pay - or defer. All for the almighty cheap burger.
