My grandparents took me (and my 2 male cousins) out there when they were 10 and 9, and I was 8.

Visited both Mesa Verde, the Double Arch, Bryce Canyon, Royal Gorge, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, all that jazz.

It was magical.

Also, it was when we realized I was tragically nearsighted (20/400 vision) and needed glasses.

In retrospect, I saw nothing. However, I took a whole lot of pictures, and had some sort of preternatural gift/guardian angel focus puller, because those photos are FANTASTIC shots.

So now I can see what I saw, as ‘twere.
