President Peres gave an impassioned but logical and factual speech, full of specifics. Even the emotional points, such as the fact that thousands and thousands of Israelis have to live with the possibility of a random bomb hitting them EVERY NIGHT, were based on clearly stated fact. I found myself nodding a lot.

President Erdogan, in the few comments he made, refuted NONE of those points, and he made no points. Saying “People died,” “children on the beach died,” etc., means absolutely nothing whatsoever. His comments were like a series of AP stringer photos.

I thought Erdogan’s remarks resembled Blago’s speech today.
