Right there with ya as an old—the first one I remember seeing in a theater was Bambi (it was a re-release, but still within 15 years of the original release in 1942)

Hey, that was the first movie my parents took me to see too. I was very young and only have very vague recollections, but it was also a re-release sometime in the mid 70’s
