Remember the religious right smearing the circuit court judge in the same sex marriage case? He was a Reagan appointee. Even as recently as eleven years ago, we had HW’s Souter on SCOTUS and Ford’s Stevens. The Trumpers want to act like if someone wasn’t appointed by Trump and isn’t on record thinking Trump is the best ever, that means that person is suspect and shouldn’t be in government. That’s dangerous. And that’s precisely why Trump needs to go. Yes, Trump’s policies that favor the very wealthy at the expense of the rest of us are awful but his attacks on democracy itself are an imminent threat.
