re: #421 Targetpractice, Worst of Both Worlds

I don’t think it’s all that ironic. AFAIC, these butthurt confederate conservatives have been sniffling about their supposed oppression since the Civil War, when the federal government mopped the floor with their butts.

100 years later, the Civil Rights movement and again the federal government handed their rear ends to them and disallowed their sharecropper economic policies to rule. They kicked into gear, and were in it for the long term. Now we are seeing the results of that work in Palin, Perry, the AFA (which has been around since the 70s) those religious/televangelist schools that churn out Bartons and Bachmanns, and now a whole slew of nonwhites such as Herman Cain who articulate those policies.

These dumb bigots are worse than the jilted lover who would rather shoot the ex in the head instead of the prospect of her going out with anyone else.

It’s not the bigots I’m looking at, it’s the unemployed, who are going to view his presidency as a “failure” due to inability to undo the Bush presidency in a single term. In some ways, I can’t blame them, as the man promised “change,” then spent his presidency trying to appease those adverse to change and failing miserably.
