Trump is a fool, definitely. But he’s really not any more ludicrous than any of the other serious GOP contenders. Except Huntsman, who I don’t think has a chance.

I honestly don’t think Huntsman will run this year. I think he’s playing a long game for 2016. Think about it. He has his own personal wealth. He has the executive experience as Governor of Utah. He’s got the foreign policy cred as Ambassador to China. All he needs now is for the teabaggers and birthers to destroy each other and for the 2012 GOP to be discredited as too extreme. This would allow him to come in after Obama gets a second term and spend four years as a statesman trying to re-inject civility on the right.
