Amen to that! Dog has a purpose, and he’s a mensch. Love him to death. Seriously.
And seriously, did you ever read “A Confederacy of Dunces” by John Kennedy Toole? It’s set in Nawleens, with a flashback to Baton Rouge, and it’s one of the few books in my life that I’ve read more than ten times and that makes me nearly puke laughing every time I read it.
Sheer genius.
Yes, I’ve read “Confederacy of Dunces”. Love it. I know all of the places he talks about, I can picture every scene, every person in my head.
And Dog - actually, as trashy as he is, his life has a purpose and a good one; he and his wife and his family are devoted and would do anything for each other; and there doesn’t seem to be a selfish bone in the bunch. Unlike the Real Housewives of wherever.
