Kragar, I remember back in the day when I was at Sheppard AFB doing my med tech training. We had ALOT of arabs there for assorted skills training. They wouldnt come to class, didnt take things seriously and mostly seemed more concerned with womanizing,shopping, and staying inebriated. Rumor had it that alot of them knew the US wouldnt fail them because they’d be beheaded upon returning home. We had some Saudi jackass (no doubt a member of their ruling tribe) go AWOL for 2 months. He got busted in NYC if I remember correctly. They still graduated him.
I wouldnt be too worried about the Saudi or Kuwaiti armies. Its the gulf armies from Qatar and the Emriates who are more up to par. Thats just because they use mercenaries. Most of the Omani AF officers I saw were british expats ex RAF etc.
