What I don’t understant about Jim Hoft (well, on thing) is that he calls
himself a “pundit”. Don’t pundits offer opinioons and commentary? All Hoft
does is repost news stories from around the internet, with an often
hysterical, or blatantly false, title of his own and makes a few snarky
remarks in reference to it.

No commentary. No opinions. At best, he’s “Gateway Blogger”.

I also wonder if he’s really that stupid or just amazingly cynical about what people will swallow. His tagline “Where Hope Finally Made a Comeback” some kind of strange double think. What does a bunch of innacurate, snarky raving have to do with hope? His commenters don’t seem to hopeful….the seem like angry & often delusional. They quite often eat their own.

One of Hofts favorite phrases “The State Run Media” is about ironic as it gets. If you’ve ever read a state run propagandist web site……it reads a hell of a lot like gatewaypundit.rightnetwork.com: Stories exxagerated and
taken out of context, misleading or blatantly flase headlines, and the repetitive use certain descriptors….like Hoft putting the words “Far Left” in front of every person/group he has an issue with. His use of terms like
“Left Wing Hoodlums” sounds a lot like Iranian media describing any and all disidents as “Foreign spys & agitators”.

I think “Gateway Drug” might be a better name for his site….
