IT is nice, but I found Claim Adjusters, with narrowest habitability and total terraforming in a huge universe can be the craziest resource races, and live virtually anywhere at high Biotech levels.

As for your friend, there is none luckier. I would’ve given my left arm and maybe some ancillary organs to play that game.

CA is crazy powerful economically. And you adjust for conditions. Since I mainly played in medium or small confines that favored HG over the long-run TT thing. And I just find IT having less micro-management issues since you can put cargo and colonists through the stargates (barring a lucky MT gift.)

On the flip side of the micro-management issue I have found SD fun to play in smaller galaxies as well.
