I have a lot of respect for what CEOs do. It’s not an easy job. You’re responsible for the success of the company even when many aspects of that success are beyond your control.

But I don’t respect them 300 times more than the average worker. We used to be sensible about this, so that it was more like 30 times. When a CEO is making more than twice median ANNUAL income EVERY DAY, we’ve lost our sense of how to determine the value of things.
