Bull. In 1970 the 95th percentile was $95,090. In 1973 it was $102,243. In 2006 that was $166,200.

The 250,000 line was in 2006 the top 1.5% of income earners.

If being in the top 1.5% doesn’t qualify as “rich,” that word has lost all meaning.
