I think that if one takes their views on this seriously, one should also take seriously their religion-based devotion to Israel-as-such. After all there are plenty Bible verses they cite as proof of the need to support Israel in non-apocalyptic contexts.

Now, it’s not a “true” devotion on the human level, it’s still on the “Bible says it, I believe it, that settles it” level. But limiting it to Apocalypse-only seems like a cafeteria approach to me.

That is the wonder of any revealed religion: you can pick and choose and weight any section of the Holy Scriptures you want to fit your agenda.
