My older half brother got a raccoon for a pet when I was a kid (I can’t remember how he ended up with it or what happened to the mom). It was okay when it was little, but when it got older it got mean and had to be given away. Plus, it’s damned difficult to keep them in a cage because of their hands—they can open just about anything. No idea where they took it…
